Mission of the The Allan Houser Foundation
The primary mission of the Allan Houser Foundation is to promote international recognition for Allan Houser. Our continued goal is the development of working relationships with educational institutions worldwide. We provide resources for scholars for study, exhibition and the continued documentation of the life and works of Allan Houser.
Artwork and objects from the Allan Houser Archives have been loaned under the auspices of the Allan Houser Foundation to numerous institutions including the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. and the Heard Museum in Phoenix, AZ., among others.
The Foundation works to preserve the existing archives, foundry building, sculpture garden, visitors center, and gallery on the site that Allan Houser selected to create his studio and sculpture garden. |
